Congratulations to the 2008-2009 McCullough Wind Ensemble for being selected as a National Winner for the National Wind Band Honors Project. The National Wind Band Honors Project is a national competition, entered by recordings, in which the top quarter are selected as National Winners. 114 of the finest bands in the nation entered the competition for 2009.
The McCullough Band shares this honor in class AA with only 8 other bands in the nation! Our very own Knox JHS was also selected as a National Winner for the National Wind Band Honors Project. |
This is the home of the McCullough JHS Highlander Band Website. Welcome to the McCullough Junior High School Band page! McCullough JHS is located deep in the heart of The Woodlands approximately 30 miles north of Houston along Interstate 45. McCullough is a school in the Conroe Independent School District, and our campus consists solely of seventh and eighth grade students.
With a school population of approximately 2175 students for the 2009-2010 school year, our band program is classified as a 3-C middle school band. The band program is one of the largest organizations on campus with an enrollment of approximately 375 students for the 2009-2010 school year.
We are extremely excited to begin another year of wonderful music and musical experiences for all students in our program. Here you can find information on all facets of the band program.
