Basketball – Boys

Hello Parents,

Every year TWHS Boys’ Basketball program holds a food drive to benefit Interfaith of The Woodlands’ food pantry. The Food Pantry covers many aspects of food insecurity in The Woodlands and surrounding areas. Interfaith has served over 23,000 individuals in the Food Pantry through October 2020, which is a 35% increase over 2019, and anticipate the increased need to continue through the holidays.

The Food Pantry is available to individuals and families and donations are always needed and appreciated in many forms: financial contributions, non-perishable food, infant products including diapers and formula, personal hygiene items, paper products, cleaning supplies, and gift cards to area grocery stores.

A Couple of specific programs:

• Nutrition Every Weekend: provides backpacks of food for children at risk of hunger over the weekend during the school year
• Seniors Eating Well: grocery delivery to homebound senior adults
• On the Go Market Days: mobile food pantry that takes food assistance to high need areas

This year, our annual food drive is Friday, November 20th with a focus on holiday meal items. All items should be dropped off to the high school by 6 PM Friday, November 20th.
